| This study aimed at testing the validity of the measurement model Teacher Leadership Practices. The measurement tools of the validity and reliability of the Teacher Leadership Practice consists of 53 items with seven domains i) Facilitating improvements in instruction and student learning, ii) Leadership attributes and skills, iii) Developing the organization through management and administration, iv) Fostering a collaborative culture to support educator development and student learning, v) Practicing professional learning for continuous improvement, vi) Enhancing collaboration with various stakeholders, vii) Making exemplary contribution towards becoming referral leader. The study involved 150 primary and secondary school teachers from several schools in the state of Perak and Selangor in Malaysia. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique was utilized to perform the required statistical analysis of the survey data. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) werecarried out to verify the domain used. After the EFA and CFA conducted only 4 constructs and 12 items were found to have high value validity. Construct consists of i) Facilitating improvements in instruction and student learning, ii) Develop through school organization and administration management, iii) Enhancing collaboration with various stakeholders, and iv) Making exemplary contribution toward becoming referral leader. Both of these analyses indicate the measurement model is satisfied specified measurement criteria. This research also provides ideas for future research by practitioners in this field. |
